About Hwee-Meng
“My big dream is for you to awaken to the light and love you are.”
I have been called many names by my clients and students:
Soul Healer.
Shaman.
Medicine Woman.
Energy Worker.
High Priestess.
Psychic.
Mystic.
Seer.
Teacher.
Therapist.
Mentor.
If you were to ask me, I would most probably say, “I am a lifelong student.” I have spent the last 30 years of my adult life, travelling all around the world, studying with healers, therapists, spiritual teachers and shamans from many different traditions.
Why I started the School of Inner Work
At 17, I was top of my class.
My family was well-to-do. Externally, I had everything a teenager could possibly want. Internally, I was suicidal, depressed and self-destructive. I could not figure out why.
I began the search for answers.
Decades later, I have deep gratitude to all my mentors, healers and teachers that have lighted my way. Without them, I would not be here today.
I dedicate this school to honor their legacy of wisdom, love and healing.
Some of the Gifts of My Healing Journey
Contentment
I let go of the need to be somebody else.
Go someplace else.
Have something else.
Self-Acceptance
Who I am right now is okay.
With my strengths and my flaws.
My successes and my more spectacular failures.
Compassion
I became kinder, more patient and understanding toward my inner struggles and demons.
Where I am in my journey is perfect for me right now.
Even the struggles and the difficult times are meant to be.
Delight
I enjoy the preciousness of each moment.
The joy of seeing someone I love sitting across me.
The warmth of the sun at the back of my neck.
The smell of freshly baked bread.
The singing of birds.
How rich and exquisite the ordinary moments of life are.
My suffering became the medicine that I wanted to gift the world.
I understand firsthand what it is like to:
Be lost, depressed and suicidal.
Lose everything in life.
Fail.
Make mistakes.
Feel shame.
Have no self-confidence.
I wanted to create a sanctuary of hope and healing. A place of acceptance where all of you can be welcomed: The good and the bad. The successes and the failures. The joy and the suffering.
Every seed contains a blueprint. Given the right conditions, the seed knows how to grow itself from within. I formed the school to be a holding environment for the seed within you to grow and blossom, emitting your unique fragrance.
If I were to leave you with only 1 message…
